MILLINGTON, Tenn. — A SUV caught on fire after colliding with a Greyhound bus early Friday morning in Millington, authorities said.
The Millington Fire and Police departments received a call about the incident on March 15 around 5 a.m. City officials said the Greyhound bus crashed into the SUV on Highway 51 southbound, causing the SUV to catch fire upon impact.
The SUV driver escaped the car and was taken to Baptist East with non-life threatening injuries. There were 15 passengers and one driver inside the bus. They were not injured, city officials said. Another bus was called to pick up the passengers.
The road is closed in the area for investigation and debris removal.
