MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A now-former Regional One Health employee has been terminated after they were accused of posting 'offensive content' online. The hospital made the announcement Friday, Nov. 8.
Regional One officials launched an investigation after they were informed that an employee had shared offensive content from a personal social media account, according to a statement released via social media.
Following the investigation, the employee is no longer employed by Regional One, according to the hospital.
Regional One Health full statement is below:
"At Regional One Health, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and families, and we expect our employees to behave in a manner that represents this commitment. All allegations of inappropriate behavior involving employees are investigated thoroughly and addressed according to our employment policies.
We were made aware of a situation involving one of our employees sharing offensive content on their personal social media account. Our investigation found that this behavior was inconsistent with our policies and values as an organization. As such, the individual is no longer employed at Regional One Health.
Regional One Health holds employees to a high standard. We are committed to upholding our mission to provide compassionate care and exceptional services to all. This includes fostering a safe and respectful work and care environment for all. Behaviors contrary to these principles are unacceptable and will not be tolerated."
