Republican Nominee Bill Lee Makes Trip To The Mid-South

Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Lee made a campaign stop in Memphis Saturday as the August election nears.

Lee swung by his Shelby County headquarters in East Memphis as a part the “Super Saturday Day of Action.”

The trip also included stops in Franklin, Chattanooga, Johnson City, and Knoxville.

Lee is hoping his ties to the area will help win over West Tennessee voters.

“For some of you who don’t know my family is from here. My grandparents lived here all my life. My mom was born and raised in Shelby County. So, this is a little bit of a second home to me so it’s a lot of fun for me to come here as much as we have over the past year,” said Lee.

Lee is running against U.S. Representative Diane Black, Knoxville entrepreneur Randy Boyd, and House Speaker Beth Harwell for the Republican nomination.
