MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Parts of Riverside Dr. will be closed for about a month due to the upcoming RiverBeat Music Festival and the SmokeSlam Barbecue event, according to city officials.
Beginning on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at about 6 a.m. and continuing through Friday, May 24, 2024, at 5:00 a.m., Riverside Dr. between Georgia Ave. and Union Ave. will be closed to through traffic.
City officials are advising drivers who normally use these sections of Riverside Dr. to use an alternate route during the duration of the closure and to expect delays.
For northbound traffic, the signed detour route will make use of Carolina Ave., Third St. and Jefferson Ave. For southbound traffic, the signed detour route will use Jefferson Ave., Second St. and Carolina Ave., according to Memphis officials.
