Robbery Suspect Shot By Store Employee In Blytheville

Blytheville, Arkansas, police are investigating a deadly shooting at a Domino’s store Sunday night.

Sunday, around 10:30 P.M. officers of the Blytheville Police Department
responded to the Domino’s Pizza restaurant located at 400 N. 6th street in Blytheville in reference to an apparent robbery where one subject was shot.
 
On arrival, Officers found 53-year-old Thomas “Tony” Price of Little Rock lying near the front door deceased.
 
An employee of the restaurant reported that Price entered the store. Price asked to see the manager, then pulled a handgun. 
 
An armed employee pulled his own handgun shot and killed Price.
 
Evidence shows that Price entered the store wearing a hoodie type shirt with the hood pulled up over his head.
 
Price then displayed the weapon and cycled it prior to being shot.
 
Subsequent investigation revealed that Price’s weapon was a BB gun that functioned like a semiautomatic handgun.
 
While Price’s current identification indicated a residency in Little Rock he is from the Blytheville area and has an extensive criminal history with the Blytheville Police Department, including previous felony arrest and convictions.
 
Price has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office, in Little Rock, for an autopsy. 
 
The case remains open and the investigation continues.
