MEMPHIS, Tenn — Memphis police are urging the public to avoid the area of Scott Street and Yale Avenue after they said a man was struck by a vehicle.
They said officers responded shortly after 6 p.m. to the crash. The vehicle remains unidentified and left the scene after the incident, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
The man that was hit was transported to Regional One in critical condition, according to MPD.
Delays are expected in the area, and police urge the public to travel on alternate routes.
