MEMPHIS, Tenn. — On Monday, Tennessee’s largest school district heads back to class, virtually. That’s 95,000 kids and many of them need supplies.
Saturday morning, the district invited families out for its annual block party, only this year it had to be a drive-thru. But that didn’t seem to affect turnout at SCS Headquarters on South Hollywood.
Cars were stretched around the block in both directions as parents picked-up backpacks and supplies for their students.
