MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) reported that detectives are investigating a death in Cordova on Saturday, Oct. 26.
Deputies were notified just after 7a.m. that a man with a gunshot wound was found deceased inside a car that had crashed into a fence off the road at the 9300 block of Macon Road, just east of Rebel Road in Cordova.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene by Shelby County Fire paramedics.
SCSO states that this is an ongoing investigation and advises the public that Macon Road is temporarily closed from Berryhill Road to Big Orange during this time.
