A second defendant has been convicted of first-degree murder in the shooting death of David Santucci in downtown Memphis. Mario Patterson, 26, was convicted Thursday and automatically sentenced to life in prison.

Another man, Dondre Johnson, 22, was convicted last year of first-degree murder in perpetration of an attempted robbery. Johnson is serving life in prison.

A third defendant, Jessica Norfleet, 26, is charged with accessory after the fact, to wit, first-degree murder. Her case is pending.

Santucci, 27, was shot August 12, 2013, on South Main while walking to his car after a party. The two men confronted him, demanded money, then shot him.

Norfleet testified in Johnson and Patterson’s trials that she waited in the car during the robbery. The three were arrested a short time later.

Santucci worked as a nurse at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, and lived in Germantown.
