Warrant issued for 19-year-old in Frayser shooting that left two other suspects injured

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police have issued an arrest warrant for a 19-year-old in a shooting in Frayser that left two suspects injured. 

Daequan Walls is wanted on eight counts of attempted first degree murder and employment of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

Jeremiah Walls, 22, and an unnamed 14-year-old were each charged with eight counts of aggravated assault. Jeremiah Walls' bond was originally set at $500,000, but lowered to $50,000. The case against Walls was sent to the grand jury on Nov. 21.

Memphis Police officers responded to a shooting call just before 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, in the 3200 block of Ardmore St. in Frayser.

According to the affidavit for Jeremiah Walls, several neighbors got into a fight in the front yard of one home. Investigators said after the fight, several people went home and got guns, then returned. Police said the armed suspects then opened fire on the home, which had eight people inside. One of those in the home returned fire, and the others took off.

Police said Jeremiah Walls and the 14-year-old boy showed up injured in a private vehicle at Regional One Hospital, where they were both treated then taken into custody.

MPD reported a woman was also grazed but refused medical attention. 

***UPDATE*** On November 5, 2024, a warrant was issued for Daequan Walls, 19, with Attempted First Degree Murder (8X) and Employment of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
