MEMPHIS, Tenn. — There have been a record number of homicides this year for Memphis, and that number continues to climb with several deadly shootings reported by Memphis police over a 48 hour-period.
Memphis police said the first took place just before 4 p.m. on Saturday on Tennis Court Drive. Police said they found one man dead on the scene. They said the suspect was a man wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.

Additionally, a shooting took place in the 4500 block of Sunny View, according to Memphis police. They said a male victim was taken to Regional One in critical condition after they responded after 9 p.m.
Another shooting took place in the 4000 block of Berkshire, according to Memphis police. There they said they located a man who was a victim. This man was transported to Regional One in critical condition but died, according to Memphis police.
The four suspects drove away in unknown vehicles, according to MPD.
