SOUTHAVEN, Miss — Southaven employees and students at two schools were evacuated from their buildings Wednesday, Aug. 28, due to bomb threats, deputies said.
A DeSoto County Sheriff's Office spokesperson said they received information about a bomb threat at Southaven High School around 11 a.m. and evacuated the school to investigate.
About an hour later, deputies were notified about another bomb threat at DeSoto Central High School, performing an evacuation procedure there as well.
An investigation is underway. This story will be updated once more information becomes available.
