Saturday’s marathon is the largest single-day fundraiser for St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

This also affects those who will go to the Liberty Bowl to cheeron the Memphis Tigers as they play the Cincinnati Bearcats in the AACchampionship game which starts at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

“I hope we’ll see this as an absolutely fantasticweekend for the city of Memphis to have over 26,000 runners from all 50 states,17 foreign countries. Of course, what we hope is a Tiger win in the afternoon, just a great way to showcase what we think makes Memphis an incredible city,”said Emily Callahan, Chief Marketing & Experience Officer, ALSAC.
