TENNESSEE, USA — Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Grant Gouldie has passed away months after being diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, THP announced on Saturday.

Gouldie was diagnosed earlier this year and endured over two months of intense treatments leading up to his passing, according to the Clinton Police Department. Trooper Gouldie served the East Tennessee community for over a decade. He leaves behind his wife Amanda and their three children. A GoFundMe has been created to support Gouldie's family with expenses during this difficult time.

"He was a dedicated family man, public servant and so much more. Please keep Grant's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers."
