MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was robbed at gunpoint outside the ARRIVE hotel in downtown Memphis, says the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
Officers responded to the armed robbery at 477 Main Street just before 2 a.m. on Friday, October 11.
MPD met with the victim, who reported that he had been robbed by a woman and two men outside the hotel.
He told officers he was standing outside smoking a cigarette when the suspects drove up in a gray Honda Civic, jumped out, and threatened him at gunpoint.
The victim followed orders and handed over his wallet and phone. He reported that the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.
After officers arrived, the victim was able to recover his phone, which had been left on the sidewalk on East Butler Avenue.
Officers noticed a surveillance camera on the side of the hotel building near where the phone was found, but they were not able to contact anyone with access to the footage.
According to MPD, there was also a report of a similar incident involving the same suspects that happened shortly afterward. No further information is available at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
