MEMPHIS, Tenn. — According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), the reason traffic was stopped on the I-40 bridge on Thursday was that a person was potentially going to jump off of the bridge.
Officers said they were able to locate the 17-year-old and talk to him for 15 minutes. A lieutenant was able to help him to safety.
