MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two 19-year-old homicide suspects have been arrested and are facing multiple charges, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
MPD responded to a shooting just after 7:30 p.m. on June 18, 2024, at 1800 Castalia St.
Officers found an 18-year-old man who had been shot and was taken to Regional One in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
According to police there were two minors with the victim who were also shot at but were not injured.
Investigators identified Edd Pickens as a suspect in the homicide on June 27.
Pickens was found in the 500 block of Lundee, and authorities discovered he was driving a stolen car at the time of the shooting.
Investigators also identified Gabrien Rounds as a suspect. Several unsuccessful attempts were made to locate him.
Officers from the Airways Station made a traffic stop and identified Rounds as the back-seat passenger. He was taken into custody on Nov. 14.
Pickens, 19, has been charged with facilitation of first-degree murder and theft of Property $2,500-$10,000.
Rounds, 19, has been charged with first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, and two counts of employing a firearm during the commission to commit a dangerous felony.
