U.S. Marshals capture man wanted by U.S. army for parole violation

According to his Probation Officer, Perkins allegedly violated his parole, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

U.S. Marshals captured man wanted by the Army for Parole Violation

JACKSON, Tenn. — United States Marshals Service officials captured a man wanted by the U.S. Army for parole violations on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

While serving as a member of the U.S. Army, Richard Perkins was convicted of rape, sodomy, burglary, assault, and threatening communication. 

After serving a sentence in the penitentiary at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Perkins was released from confinement and placed on community supervision. 

According to his Probation Officer, Perkins allegedly violated his parole, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. 

The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force(TRVFTF) in Jackson, TN, took on the case and traced Perkins to the Daybreak Suites at 1849 Highway 45 By-Pass in Jackson. 

Perkins was taken into custody without incident or injury. 

The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force within Western Tennessee.
