Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee responds after Twitter blocked a campaign ad because of what it calls an “inflammatory” statement.

Blackburn of Tennessee says she is appalled Twitter pulled her campaign ad. She says it is an attempt to censor her pro-life record.

Twitter says it pulled the ad because of this statement: “I’m 100 percent pro-life. I fought Planned Parenthood and we stopped the sale of baby body parts. Thank God.”

Twitter says the ad was inflammatory, and there’s no evidence what she says is true. Blackburn says the entire pro-life community deserves an apology.

“It is just shocking that Twitter will allow you to go on and people talk about taking a knee during the national anthem but then they turn around and they tell me about stopping the sale stopping the sale of baby body parts evokes a negative reaction,” she says.

There is no record of Blackburn voting on any legislation banning the sale of body parts. And no investigation ever found proof of actual tissue sales.
