White Station High School student dies after medical emergency

"Our school community is united in grief, and our thoughts and prayers go out to Kingston's family," a statement from MSCS said.

MEMPHIS, Tenn — According to Memphis-Shelby County Schools, a White Station High School student passed away Monday.

Ninth grader Kingston Davidson died after experiencing a medical emergency while at school, MSCS said.

MSCS provided the following statement on his passing:

"He was a well-loved member of the White Station High School community and was a loving son and brother. His parents have given us permission to share some details about him. They named him Kingston because they wanted him to have a strong name. He played football, loved math and fashion and was already set on his career path of being an entrepreneur. He had a lawn business where he cut yards for family and friends.

To his little sister, he was her favorite math tutor. He also loved to stand in her full-length mirror every morning and 'check out his fit.' He will be deeply missed by his classmates, school administrators, and teachers."

According to the school district, Davidson received immediate medical attention from school resource officers and paramedics, but his life could not be saved.

MSCS said it will be providing counseling to all students and staff affected by his death.

"Our school community is united in grief, and our thoughts and prayers go out to Kingston's family. They bear the heaviest burden of this loss, and we extend our unwavering support. We will be here to offer comfort, sympathy, and any additional assistance they need," MSCS said.

MSCS announced an official donation site for the family has been set up at https://ignite.schoolseed.org/project/40016.
