MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman is dead after a house fire broke out in Hyde Park early Thursday morning.
The Memphis Fire Department responded to the fire Aug. 1 just before 2 a.m. in the 800 block of Meagher Street. Fire officials said crews rescued an 89-year-old woman and too her to Regional One Health, but she later died from her injuries.
The cause of the fire, which started in the interior hallway leading to the bedroom, is currently unknown.
