MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are investigating the death of a woman who was found lying in the middle of the street in the 3800 block of Lamar early Thursday morning.
According to MPD, when officers arrived on scene the woman with no clothing on was covered. Later Thursday afternoon, police say they determined the woman had been shot. She was dead at the scene.
North and southbound lanes between New Getwell and Clearpool Circle were shut down while police investigate.
