OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. (localmemphis.com) – You have the chance to experience the skies as if you were in World War II.

The Liberty Foundation brought the B-17 bomber named “Ye OldePub” to the Olive Branch airport this week. It’s part of a national tourto showcase history.

The B-17 is still considered one of the greatest military planesever built.

“This was high tech in the 1940s, but you’re going tothink its low-tech when you see inside of it. But it was really all about thebusiness end of being able to carry bombs and guns long distances,” said pilot JohnHess with the Liberty Foundation

You can take flight with the B-17 Saturday and Sunday,but it will cost you. A single flight is $475 per person. But you can tour theplane while it’s on the ground for free.
