UPDATE 8/1/2019 – According to jail records, Joanna Goodfellow is now out of jail after posting $15,000 bond.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – 7/31/2019 – A Memphis woman is now charged in a deadly hit and run in midtown Memphis in 2017 that killed Christopher Phillips.
Joanna Goodfellow is charged with aggravated assault, leaving thescene of an accident involving death, tampering with/fabricating evidence,reckless driving, and driving while license suspended or revoked.
According to jail information, Goodfellow was indicted October 9,2018 on charges from the incident, which happened February 22, 2017. A warrantwas issued the day after the indictment came down. She was booked into the jailWednesday on the charges.
32-year-old Phillips died afterbeing hit crossing Madison and Morrison near Overton Square in February 2017. A little more than a year later in March 2018,his family filed a civil wrongful death lawsuit against Goodfellow and others.
She is at the Shelby County jail and no bond hasbeen set.
