MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com)–Tomorrow, many folks around the United States will honor civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Many events are taking place right here in Memphis!
At 9 a.m., a “Be The Dream Commemorative Celebration” is planned at Mason Temple, where Dr. King delivered his historic “Mountaintop” speech.
At 10:30 a.m., the 31st annual Dr. Martin Luther King national parade will begin at the MATA Bus Terminal on Main Street. The parade ends at the National Civil Rights Museum. The Museum will have expended hours as a tribute to Dr. King. General admission will also be lowered to $5.
At 1:30 p.m., the Memphis Grizzlies will take on the New Orleans Pelicans in their 14th annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration game.
