CYPRESS NATIONAL PRESERVE, Fla. (CNN Newsource) – When is the last time you’ve seen a 17-foot 9-inch Burmese python?
A python hunter captured it in the big Cypress National Preserve. This is the second-biggest snake ever caught by the Florida Fish and Wildlife python team.
Burmese pythons are an invasive species in and around the Everglades in Florida. FWC says the snakes continue to be a threat to native wildlife so they pay catchers to keep the numbers down.
