MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Polls are now closed across Memphis and Shelby County, and we have live election results as they come in for the Super Tuesday presidential primary elections in Tennessee, as well as notable local and state races in Shelby County and Arkansas.

Tennessee and Arkansas are among many states holding their presidential primaries on “Super Tuesday,” a day typically in February or March where a large group of states head to the polls to pick which candidate they want to run for president in their respective parties.

President Joe Biden is running for the Democratic Primary without a named opponent on the Tennessee ballot, while the Republican Primary has former President Donald Trump as the favorite, running against former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.

As of 7 p.m., Donald Trump and Joe Biden have been declared winners of their respective primaries, according to the Associated Press. Shelby County has yet to release voting results for Memphis.
