MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Mississippi Lieutenant Governor Tate Reeves made a campaign stopin Hernando Wednesday, just one day after former gubernatorial candidate RobertFoster endorsed his competitor former Justice Bill Waller Jr. in the race for Governor.
Reeves stopped at the Complete Home Center hardware store and metwith supporters. The lieutenant governor says he’s not surprised Foster isendorsing opponent, and adds that he’s not concerned about any effect it couldhave on his campaign.
“We’re working to earn the support of every singleMississippian across our state. So obviously, we’re going to continue to workto continue to convince Mississippians to vote for us because we are the onlycandidate that is running that is a true conservative,” said Reeves.
The run-off election between Reeves and Waller Jr. is August27th.
