NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee has a new official state song, House Speaker Cameron Sexton announced on Thursday.
Sexton took to Twitter to share a performance of "I'll Leave My Heart in Tennessee" by Grammy-nominated bluegrass musicians Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent.
SB1759/HB1731 was sponsored by Sen. Paul Bailey of Sparta and Rep. John Mark Windle of Livingston.
The bill made "I'll Leave My Heart in Tennessee" the Volunteer State's 11th official state song.
