Do you feel you are too blessed to be stressed, even during these challenging coronavirus times?

An attitude of gratitude could help to combat stress and to help you relax

MEMPHIS, Tennessee —

In Friday's Ransom Note: it could always be worse.

Everything is upside down. For example, I've never done a newscast all alone in a studio, but I am tonight. The cameras are locked down, Katina and John are working from home, and soon I may be too. I miss cutting up during those two during commercial breaks.

We're all worried, not just about this new coronavirus illness, but the thousands losing their jobs, the small businesses hoping to hang on.

So it's good to take a step back and be grateful.

From our amazing health care workers and their incredible knowledge to the grocery store workers stocking the shelves so we can still buy food. I'm grateful for how people are coming together, new friendships with coworkers. Grateful that spring has finally sprung. Grateful to be able to slow down a little, have most of my family together. I doubt I'll ever get this kind of time with my 19-year-old son again.

I'm grateful for these smartphones that allow us to Zoom, Skype, Facetime, text, email or whatever so we can visit and check in on each other.

If you're feeling stressed, like I was today, give it a try, what are you grateful for. you'll be glad you did.
