Opinion | This St. Jude fundraiser is really out of this world | Richard Ransom

Local 24 News Anchor Richard Ransom discusses in his Ransom Note about the space flight that billionaire Jared Isaacman is taking to raise money for St. Jude.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — In tonight’s Ransom Note: the St. Jude mission.

So admired, that billionaire Jared Isaacman announced this week he’s building what will be the first civilian mission to space around the children’s research hospital.

He’ll pitch in 100-million and plans to raise another 100 million through donations after people see the commercial, he bought for the Super Bowl.

Known as ‘Inspiration Four’, the mission will liftoff in October.

The fourth spot on board will be given to someone who buys an entry with a ten-dollar donation.

Obviously, the more entries you buy, the better your chances.

But it could go to anyone.

St. Jude once again doing Memphis proud.
