Guard Colby Rodger, one of the best 3-point shooters in the NCAA, announced that he is transferring to Memphis.
Rogers is the third player Penny Hardaway has secure this offseason. He joins PJ Haggerty and Dain Dainja in the Bluff City.
The former Shocker announced that he was transferring to play for Hardaway after taking a visit to Memphis on Sunday.
Rogers spent the last two seasons at Whichita State where he averaged 16 points three rebounds and two assists last season.
The versatile guard is one of the most efficient players in the NCAA from three. Rogers broke a Shockers record with 99 made 3-pointers last season. He ranked 17th among all Division I players, he also touted the 25th-best 3-point percentage at 40.9%.
He chose Memphis over offers from Alabama, Kansas and Michigan.
Hardaway is off to a flying start to begin the offseason but he still has a lot of work to do. Forward Nicholas Jourdain and walk-on guards Joe Cooper and Noah Stansbury are the only three players expected to return for the 2024-25 season. Memphis' leading scorers from last season, David Jones is still undecided on whether he will return for his final year or enter the NBA draft.
