MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Grizzlies are waiving center Trey Jemison and will sign Jay Huff in a two-way deal, according to the Grizzlies' organization.

Jemison, a 24-year-old native of Birmingham, Alabama, went unselected in the 2024 NBA Draft after finishing his collegiate career at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

He signed a 10-day contract with the Grizzlies in January then was promoted in a two-way deal.

The former Memphis Hustle averaged 6.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists with a career-high 24 points, according to Basketball Reference.

Huff played in 31 games over three seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards and Denver Nuggets.

He has averaged 2.4 points and 1.2 rebounds in 5.3 minutes while shooting 55.8 percent from the field.

The 25-year-old averaged 19.1 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 3.6 blocks while shooting 57.3 percent from the field and 39.0 percent from 3-point range with the NBA G League’s Grand Rapids Gold last season, according to the Grizzlies.

Huff went unselected in the 2021 NBA Draft following a four-year collegiate career at Virginia, where he was a member of the Cavaliers’ 2019 NCAA championship team.

Per the Grizzlies' policy, the terms of this deal were not disclosed.
