MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It may only be week three of the 2024 high school football season, but already we have a contender for game of the year - Houston vs. Germantown.
The Mustangs ended the Red Devils season last year in the playoffs before going on to win State. Friday night was yet another barn burner between the two powerhouses.
They duked it out all game long to be tied at 30 with less than a minute to go and that's when QB and Tennessee baseball commit Chandler Day ended the game, running 40 yards for the score to give Houston a 36-30 win.
The Mustangs move to 3-0 on the season, 1-0 in Region play and have now won 15 straight games.
