MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Soccer star for Briarcrest Christian School Ali Howard is taking her talents to the next level.
The striker announced on her Instagram on Thursday that she will play Division 1 soccer for the University of Tennessee.
"I’m extremely happy and grateful to announce my verbal commitment to The University of Tennessee! This would not be possible without the constant support of my family, friends, coaches, teammates, trainers and, of course, God!," Howard said in the statement. "I can’t wait to represent my home state in orange and white!"
Howard is the daughter of Memphis 901 FC sporting director and USMNT star goalkeeper Tim Howard.
Before Howard becomes a Lady Vol, she'll play one last season with the Saints at Briarcrest.
