For the first time in Clay Holgorsen’s college football career, he’s the likely starting quarterback.
Holgorsen, who spent the last 2 seasons at Memphis as the back up quarterback to Paxton Lynch, joined the Northwest Mississippi Community College Football Team this summer.
Holgorsen transferred out of the Tigers program because he said he didn’t feel like he fit with the new coaching staff.
The redshirt sophomore now hopes he can bolster his career in Senatobia and lead the Rangers to back-to-back national titles.
He had been on the short list to replace Paxton Lynch as the Tigers starting quarterback when Lynch declared for the NFL.
