LAS VEGAS — With a 1-1 draw against the Las Vegas Lights on Saturday, Memphis are now unbeaten in 9 of their last 10 games and move into fifth in the Western Conference Standings with a 6-64 record.

The game was scoreless until the 43rd minute when Bruno Lapa had a strike for the ages. The Brazilian took advantage the Lights' keeper coming off his line, striking the ball on his right foot from more than 35-yards out over the top of the keeper and into the back of the net.

The goal is Lapa's sixth of the season which sees him tied with fellow Brazilian Marlon Santos for most goals by a player this season for 901 FC.

Memphis would hold onto the 1-0 lead until the 79th minute when the Lights drew a foul in the box which caused a penalty kick. Khori Bennett took the shot from the spot, slamming it into the bottom left corner.

Memphis' keeper, Tyler Deric was just inches off saving the PK in what was his only shot on target that he was forced to face all night.

901 FC had eight total shots with two on goal compared to the Lights seven shots with one on goal. Vegas controlled possession with 61% and also had three corner kicks compared to one for Memphis.

The Beale Street Boys leave Vegas with a point and return home on Friday to host Phoenix Rising at 7:30 P.M. for the clubs annual Pride Night. Phoenix currently sit one spot below Memphis in the standings at sixth.
