Memphis 901 FC land two on USL's Team of the Week

A blinder of a goal from Samuel Careaga and six saves from goalkeeper Triston Henry earned the pair USL honors.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Both Triston Henry and Samuel Careaga were named to the USL Team of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

The duo were pivotal in Memphis' 1-0 victory over San Antonio FC on Saturday at AutoZone Park to extend their home unbeaten streak to six matches.

Henry was only signed to the team one week ago. In Saturday's game, Henry made his club debut in goals and came up with six saves to earn a shutout.

Careaga meanwhile was the lone goal scorer for the Beale Street Boys on Saturday. The left-foot strike to the far post was Careaga's fourth goal of the season. During the match against San Antonio, the Argentinian completed 82% of passes and won possession nine times out of 10 total duels.

Memphis are back at home on Saturday, Aug. 3 when they host El Paso Locomotive FC. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at AutoZone Park for college night.
