Friday night football recap for Memphis area high schools: week 11

Southwind finished the regular season undefeated, Lausanne locked up a home field advantage and CBHS fell to Ensworth — all in the 11th week of Friday night football

TENNESSEE, USA — The eleventh football Friday night is in the books for high schools in Tennessee.

Southwind finished the regular season undefeated, Lausanne locked up a home field advantage and CBHS fell to Ensworth — all in the 11th week of Friday night football.

Here are highlights from across the Memphis area and a scoreboard of select games to boot:

Game of the week: Mitchell vs. Fairley

Mitchell had one more test before the playoffs and they played Fairley for the region, during Fairley's "Senior Night" on Friday. The Bulldogs started with some misdirection — a double handoff to Cameron Saunders. He found the end-zone untouched for a six to nothing lead.

Mitchell went on the move trying to get something going before Lamarious Liggins got sacked. The ball came loose and a mad scramble ensued. Fairley football ended up picking it up.

Zerious Short made short work of defense and the Bulldogs scored a touchdown.  The Bulldogs were up two scores, and they kept it that way.

Another sack and fumble took place and Fairley then ended Mitchell's perfect season as they claimed Region 8 2A's number one seed.
