MEMPHIS, Tenn. — March Madness is here, and the NCAA has announced the teams playing at FedExForum for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

Memphis is hosting NCAA Tournament games for the first time in seven years, bringing an expected 20,000 people to Beale Street from March 22 to 24.

Memphis Mayor Paul Young gave his thoughts Sunday on the event, and the security in place.

"We are super excited to welcome the NCAA tournament and guests to downtown next weekend," Young said. "We will have enhanced security protocols throughout downtown - including bike and mounted MPD officers, additional screening efforts on Beale Street, plus an enhanced Blue Suede Brigade presence."
