MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Some of the newest Bluff City Bears are getting into the holiday spirit. Grizzlies players Bruno Caboclo and De’anthony Melton spent the afternoon with Santa at his workshop inside Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid in downtown Memphis.
It’s fair to say they were the three most popular guys in the store as kids jumped from Santa’s chair and into pictures with the players. Both players were happy to spend some time off the court with some of their youngest fans.
Caboclo is from Brazil and Melton from the East Coast. The meet and greet at “Santa’s Wonderland” inside Bass Pro Shops gave them a “home for the holidays” kind of feeling.
“We’re going to figure some things out for Thanksgiving this year, but it’s going to be fun. I’m having a great time out here in Memphis,” said Melton.
Caboclo added, “I think it’s a good opportunity for them to meet us. When I was that age I didn’t have those opportunities, so I think it’s very good for them and even for me to meet all these kids.”
Kids can get a free picture with Santa at Bass Pro stores now through December 24.
