MEMPHIS, Tenn — Ja Morant scored 20 points in his much-anticipated home debut Thursday, and Desmond Bane dazzled from the three-point line as the Grizzlies beat the Indiana Pacers 116-103 for just their second back-to-back win this season.
Ja added eight assists and five rebounds to his final stat line, and was 7 of 15 from the field to end the game. He provided plenty of highlight-worthy moments for the FedExForum crowd, many of which came out to see the Grizzlies' superstar in his first game back since his 25-game suspension.
One such highlight included a second-half alley-oop to Santi Aldama that put the Grizzlies up while Indiana was threatening to take the lead.
Desmond Bane led all scorers with 31 points, including five three-pointers, and Jaren Jackson Jr. added 21 points with seven rebounds.
Santi Aldama and Ziaire Williams were key bench contributors, scoring 13 and 16 points, respectively.
It was just the second win at home for the Grizzlies, who could be turning a corner after a dismal start to the season. They travel to Atlanta to play the Hawks on Saturday.
