PARIS, France — Memphis Grizzlies forward Santi Aldama put up 27 points in Spain's 92-80 loss to Australia in game one of the Olympics.

The Spaniard led all scorers in the game and also had six rebounds and two steals. His six made-three pointers set a Spanish record for most threes made in a game.

Spain is competing in Group A, which has been nicknamed the 'Group of Death' at the Olympics because of the quality of the other teams - Greece, Canada and Australia.
