Grizzlies waive Victor Oladipo, Stadium reports

Oladipo was acquired in a trade for Steven Adams and was rehabbing a knee injury.

MEMPHIS, Tenn — The Memphis Grizzlies are waiving guard Victor Oladipo, according to Shams Charania of Stadium.

Oladipo, in his 11th season, was acquired just weeks prior in a trade with the Houston Rockets for Steven Adams. The Grizzlies also received three second round picks in the trade.

Oladipo was rehabbing a knee injury and was unlikely to play the rest of the season. He is a career 16.9 points per game scorer and solid defender, but has been plagued by injuries in the last few seasons and bounced around the league.

The former first round pick was due to make $9.45M that the Grizzlies will now save and create space on the roster to add another player in the future.
