CHICAGO — The Memphis Grizzlies, in the NBA Draft Lottery for the first time since they selected Ja Morant No. 2 overall in 2019, now know where they will pick in 2024. Memphis will pick ninth in this year's draft.
The Grizzlies had a 7.5% chance to land the number one overall pick and a 31% chance to pick in the Top 4. Instead, they slide back to the ninth pick.
General Manager Zach Kleiman made it known that where the pick landed would certainly impact how the team would move when it came to addressing roster concerns, especially when it came to their center position.
The NBA Draft will be a two day event this year, June 26-27.
