Memphis basketball lands JUCO transfer Bouna Kebe

MEMPHIS, Tenn — Memphis basketball will add another big man to their roster. Bouna Kebe has committed to Memphis, according to his NIL representation Yuval Shaham. 

Kebe transfers to Memphis from Gillette College in Wyoming, a junior college. Kebe is 6'8" and thrives primarily in the post. He averaged 11.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks across his 28 games and 15 starts. In 2022, he averaged 6.9 points and 4.0 rebounds as a member of Independence Community College in Kansas. 

Kebe hails from Senegal and joins a Tigers roster that includes one returning scholarship player from 2023-24 in Nicholas Jourdain and eight transfers into the program. Tyrese Hunter (Texas), Colby Rogers (Wichita State), PJ Haggerty (Tulsa), Baraka Okojie (George Washington), Moussa Cisse (Ole Miss), Tyreek Smith (SMU), Dain Dainja (Illinois), PJ Carter (UTSA) headline this years Tigers roster. Memphis also has one freshman, guard Jared Harris. 

The Tigers open their season on November 4 when they play Missouri in FedExForum.
