Nine honorees is the most for the Memphis program since 2019.

MEMPHIS, Tennessee — The American Athletic Conference announced their all-conference teams today, and nine Memphis Tigers (9-3) found their names on the lists. The nine honorees are the most the Tigers have had since 2019, when they were 12-2 and earned a trip to the Cotton Bowl.

Senior running back Blake Watson and redshirt sophomore Chandler Martin headline the group named to the All-AAC First Team. Watson, a transfer from Old Dominion, rushed for 1,045 rushing yards this season - second in the American conference. He's only the eighth Tiger in program history to rush for 1000 yards in a season. His 1508 total scrimmage yards leads the conference.

Martin led the Tigers in total tackles (87) and tackles for loss (12), both top ten in the conference. He also added two interceptions, two sacks and two forced fumbles.

Junior quarterback Seth Henigan, junior wide receiver Roc Taylor, redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Xavier Hill and senior defensive end Jaylon Allen are All-AAC second teamers.

Henigan leads the American conference in yards (3,516) and is tied for second in passing touchdowns (28). He is now Memphis' all-time leader in career passing completions with 787. His favorite target this year is Taylor, who caught 61 receptions for 981 yards and four touchdowns.

Senior safety Simeon Blair and redshirt senior Jacob Likes were named All-AAC Third team while senior linebacker Geoffrey Cantin-Arku is an honorable mention.

Memphis is having their best season since 2019. They are awaiting the announcement of their 10th straight bowl appearance.
