TAMPA, Fla. — The No. 17 Memphis women's soccer team scored a goal in the 74th minute to propel them to a 1-0 win over South Florida at Corbett Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The goal from Anna Hauer marks the fifth second-half game-winner from the Tigers (7-1-1, 2-0-1 AAC) this season. In the win the Tigers recorded their third consecutive clean sheet and their fifth of the season.

The game pitted the AAC's top two preseason teams against each other and the winners of the last seven American championships.

Tigers goalkeeper Kaylie Bierman ended the game with four saves, and the defense in front of her limited the Bulls to just eight total shots. Meanwhile Memphis had seven shots with just the one from Hauer as the lone shot on target.

Memphis is now the only unbeaten team in the American and the only team that is yet to concede a goal during conference play.

The Tigers will be back home this Thursday, Oct. 3, to take on Charlotte at 7 p.m. CT.
