Tigers jump to No. 10 in latest AP Top 25 Poll

The Memphis Tigers made their debut in the Top 10 of the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll, released Monday. Memphis, No. 10 in the media poll and No. 12 in the USA Today coaches' poll, is coming off a week that stretched their win streak to 10 games.

The Tigers (15-2) needed overtime to beat the University of Texas-San Antonio, 107-101 on January 10. They followed up with a dominant 26 point win, 112-86, over Wichita State on January 14. The 112 points is the most points scored in an AAC conference game.

The wins lifted Memphis three spots in the AP Top 25 from 13th the week before.

Memphis will try to extend its winning streak to 11 games when they take on South Florida in FedExForum on Thursday, January 18.
