MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Ole Miss Rebel Marquesha Davis will pack her bags and head to New York after being selected 11th overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft to the New York Liberty.
Davis scored over 1,000 points in two years in Oxford, including 14 points per game in 2024. Davis was named First Team All-SEC after a season where she scored in double figures in 25 games.
She becomes the fifth first round pick in Ole Miss Rebels history and the second player drafted under head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin.
The Rebels set a school record with 12 wins in SEC conference play and made the NCAA Tournament for the third year in a row. They fell in the second round to Notre Dame, 71-56.
The New York Liberty went 32-8 and won the Commissioner's Cup in 2023. They made it to the WNBA Finals and finished as runner's up to the Las Vegas Aces. The WNBA season tips off May 14.
